Are these really free?
The ones marked free are. What "free" permits is decided by the licence, which is printed on every listing as an SPDX identifier. MIT and Apache-2.0 let you ship commercially; CC-BY needs visible attribution; "not stated" means all rights reserved, whatever the repository looks like.
Do I download the template from here?
No. Every link goes to the author. We host no template files, and the download button is the author's own.
How do I know a template still works?
The date its source last changed is on every card and every page, and stale ones are marked. The demo link is checked, and a dead one is recorded rather than shown as if it worked.
Why do some listings have no screenshot?
A screenshot reproduces the author's design. Where no OSI licence is detected, we link to the template and render no image. Those listings stay out of the main grid.
Getting listed
How do templates get here?
Mostly automatically: an importer reads GitHub and several curated registries every six hours. Between a third and a half of what it finds is rejected, and a person approves everything that survives.
Can I submit my own?
Yes, and a free submission gets the same page a paid one gets. It waits in the same queue, which is currently about two weeks.
My template is listed and I did not ask. Can you remove it?
Yes, within 24 hours of a request, and it will not come back — a removed listing is the one state the importer refuses to update, so the next sweep leaves it alone. Use the takedown page.
The description on my listing is wrong.
Tell us and it is corrected by hand. A corrected field is then locked against the importer, so it does not revert on the next sweep.
How this is put together
Did you copy the descriptions from our READMEs?
No. A README is fetched so a machine can classify the repository — is this a template, which framework, what kind of site. What is stored is that derived summary. GitHub's terms licence a repository's content to others through GitHub, which is not the same as on our site.
Where do the stars and licences come from?
The GitHub API, with deps.dev as a backstop. deps.dev publishes the same fields under CC-BY 4.0 with caching expressly permitted, and is credited in the footer.
The same template appears in several lists. Do you list it twice?
No. Entries are matched on canonical repository identity — host, owner and name — so four sources produce one listing.
Money
How do you make money?
Sponsorship, and paid submission tiers. Nothing else. We take no cut of a template sale and process no purchases.
Are sponsored listings marked?
Always, visibly, and with rel="sponsored" on the link. The label is not something a sponsor can pay to remove.
Does paying change where my template ranks in a normal grid?
A paid placement is a separate, labelled slot. The ordinary grid is ordered by quality score and freshness, and money does not move it.
